Thick and sweet beverages, that is to say knowledge of liquors and cremes among Poles |
|
Advocaat egg liquor is the most popular in Poland. The alcoholic beverage is produced basing on an old recipe from the area of the south-eastern Poland, including only natural components: fresh eggs, vanilla, wine distillate and rectified spirit. For years this liquor has had a strong and safe (yet still small share by percentage comparing with the most popular alcohols in Poland) first position both in supply, demand and turnover. Ajerkoniak, very similar in flavour, naturally thick and made of the highest quality yolks, fine spirit, without pigments and stabilizers, is almost equally popular. The world famous Bols Blue is also well known in our country and recognised as a true star among liquors. Its blue colour and exceptional flavour distinguishes it among all other products of this type. Bols Blue is distilled of herb mix, sweet red oranges, bitter oranges and rare kinnow oranges. As a result Bols Blue features fresh, but complex aroma and flavour of these citruses.

Vodka in Russia was produced much earlier, however part of scientists treats the Mendelejew’s thesis as a date of creation of this classic pure alcoholic beverage with 40% alcohol content and which has become one of the main country’s symbols and indispensable product in every Russian home.
