Żywiec Group has sold the shares |
Management of the Żywiec Group has sold 29 own shares of a total gross
value of 13,553 PLN and an average unit value 467 34 PLN per share. The
sold shares were bought by the Group in 2009 in order to issue them for
the partners of the taken over dependent company HBC – Żywiec Trade.
Presently, the Żywiec Group is not provided with shares.

Final victory of Domain Menada |
Management of the Belvedere Group has informed that the District Court in Warsaw changed the wrong decision on the 25th of February this year and dismissed the appeal of The Bank of New York Mellon regarding another proceeding of bankruptcy of Domain Menada Sp. z o.o. Company. The decision of the District Court means that the Group’s management has fully regained power over Domain Menada Company and may concentrate on further strengthening of its market position, which despite several months of legal turbulences remains stable. Management of the Group expected that the District Court would take into account the opinion of the Supreme Court dated the 20th of January this year on the case of „Polmos Łańcut” Vodka Factory.

Tender for the Polmos of Toruń soon |
Production halls of Kopernik Vodka Factory in Toruń are to be subject to valuation by independent experts. The trustee waits for the experts’ offers until the end of February. Tender shall be organised for the plant’s sale after the facility’s valuation. The present leaseholder Krzysztof Milewczyk has the right of pre-emption. Chairman of the Polmos Company of Toruń is interested in purchasing the plant.

Waspol continues the investments |
Waspol Company, dealing with distribution of alcohols, conducts advanced negotiations with entities, which generate incomes between 40 and 110 billion PLN. Makar Company from Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, the annual incomes of which reach 25 million PLN, is the fourth acquisition of Waspol. The transaction was to strengthen the company’s position in the central Poland. Take over of the local distributors is a part of development plan of one of the largest independent alcohol distribution groups in Poland.

Ambra announces further take-overs |
Ambra Group plans take-overs on the wine market of Poland and Romania. The Company’s management perceives largest development potential in these two countries, where incidentally the company is already operating. The management assumes that the company’s income for the entire turnover year 2009/2010 will be similar to the year 2008/2009, i.e. 428 million PLN.

Regional beers don’t fear the crisis |
Niche beer trend is on. Despite the fact that the sale of local breweries in Poland could drop even by around 5%, the majority counts on sale growth this years. Beers brewed according to traditional recipes and not competing in price with large concerns are very popular and forecasts anticipate growth in their consumption even by 10%.

Rye beer from Konstancin Brewery |
Rye beer produced by a regional brewery in Konstancin nearby Warsaw is being introduced on the market. Resources for the beer’s production are brought from Germany, what additionally increases production costs, but still cheaper than in case of hop beverages based on barley. Rye beer in Konstancin is already present in 300 shops in the capital. Price per half-litre bottle is 5 - 6 PLN.
